Discipline: Showing

Brief Outline of my past: I started riding at the age of 6 at a local riding school. Mum bought me a little palouse pony called DeeDee for my first pony, who was quite a challenge to ride. After competing at pony club on him for a few months we realised he was just too difficult as a first pony and he was sold on. It was then that I got my first ever show pony called Llandillo Kathleen. Katie, as she was known, was a lovely grey APSB pony who although was very forward and strong at times, was the pony who took me through my younger years and taught me to be the rider I am today, along with all the wonderful help along the way from my instructor Nici Jamieson. My next show pony was Cariad Park Mannequin.  Maddy was the next step in my show career and together we qualified and competed at the Grand Nationals multiple times. Along came Oaklands Park Phantom of the Opera who was purchased as a just broken 3 year old. I educated him and had a lot of success also competing numerous times at Grand Nationals and in 199 taking out Grand National Small Pony of the Year. Since then we have had a range of successful young horses that I have educated and shown until finding new homes for them with other young riders to enjoy success on including, the multi award winning Silkwood Angel Wings. Karen and Molly Green of Mondiso Park stud have been wonderful to me along the way providing me with amazing quality ponies to bring on and show for them over the many years. Mondiso Park Purfection was champion large pony at Brisbane royal and was then sold to Las Vegas in the USA! Mondiso Park Small Talk, shown by us for the first few months of his career and winning his newcomers and then being sold to a lovely home where he continued his success. Mondiso Park Its All About Me has had a wonderful career winning multiple Royals and Horse of the Year events. He has now been  sold to the most wonderful home anyone could ever want their pony to go to. I have recently purchased my first show hack after just competing with ponies and galloways in the past and I am looking forward to a successful show career with him. We feel he is a very special horse and at our first Royal he managed 8th out of a very strong class of over 40 ridden Thoroughbreds. At HOTY, October 2012,  City Lights won Runner Up Intermediate Hack  so hopefully there is more to come.

Horses: Current Show Horses: City Lights, Swanreach Style and a number of young Mondiso Park Ponies.
Past Horses: I have started the following horses which have now been sold to other families for their enjoyment – Silkwood Angel Wings, Oaklands Park Phantom of the Opera, Mondiso Park Purfection, Mondiso Park Jackpot, Mondiso Park Its All About Me, Mondiso Park Small Talk, Mondiso Park Girl Talk, Mondiso Park Queen O Hearts, Mondiso Park Peeping Tom, Falconhurst Reportiore just to name a few. I have also had success with Cariad Park Mannequin and Silkwood Fine Print, both sold and possibly enjoying retirement now

Career Achievments:  I have represented QLD at Grand Nationals in Sydney and EFA Nationals in Melbourne on numerous occasions. The most memorable being awarded Runner Up Rider under 12 years when I was only 8 years old and the following year being awarded Champion Small pony on Oaklands Park Phantom of the Opera. I have also had numerous wins at Royals and State level.

Goals: My future goals are to continue bringing on young horses from scratch as I love the enjoyment of seeing them grow from just broken to becoming educated and successful.
